St. Louis-area residents who want to find out if they have recovered from COVID-19, can now get an antibody test at Downtown Urgent Care or Creve Coeur Urgent Care for $125, less than half the cost of other providers.
Testing is typically free if the patient prefers to use private insurance or Medicaid or Medicare. Both locations are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“The need for affordable and accessible testing is crucial to ensure our neighbors are as healthy as possible during a global healthcare crisis such as this,” said Dr. Sonny Saggar, the urgent cares’ founder and volunteer physician.
In addition to on-site, 24/7 testing and other medical services, Downtown Urgent Care and Creve Coeur Urgent Care can connect patients with medical professionals online, or for a televisit with contactadoc.com. The telemedicine service can issue a prescription for the COVID-19 antibody testing if the patient’s insurance company requires it.
