Gamlin Whiskey House and Sub Zero Vodka Bar Announce Permanent Closures

There’s been another blow to the St. Louis dining scene as two restaurants in the Central West End announce that they are permanently closing, citing challenges as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic.

In a Facebook post this morning, the owners of Gamlin Whiskey House and Sub Zero Vodka Bar issued the following statement:

“For more than a decade it has been an honor to be a part of some of the happiest times of your lives. From milestone celebrations to spontaneous nights out, millions of memories have been made within these walls. It has been a privilege to be a part of these moments that will remain with many of you forever. We will never forget the joy we were able to be a part of.
The day has come that we hoped never would. We are permanently closing Gamlin Whiskey House and Sub Zero Vodka Bar. The weight of the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic were simply too much to bear.
Thank you for the happiness you brought us every day when we opened our doors. Thank you for being there for us in good times and bad, and thank you for helping us bring our dreams to life. The road ahead is uncharted territory, and none of us know what the future holds, but we will be stronger in the end.
To that end we raise our glass to the memories we’ve made together, and to the brighter future we know is ahead.
Today, May 22, we invite you to stop by Gamlin Whiskey House between 3 and 6 p.m. for our final curbside pickup. You are welcome to redeem your Sub Zero Vodka Bar or Gamlin Whiskey House gift cards for to-go cocktails.
– Sub Zero Vodka will still be available at local retailers.
– GRG bottle raffle winners will be announced in the coming days.”
