Keith Williamson, former secretary and general counsel of Centene, has been appointed president of the Centene Charitable Foundation.
Since joining Centene in 2006, Williamson has overseen all legal functions for the enterprise, aiding in the company’s extensive growth and expansion. He is very active in the St. Louis community, including serving as chairman of the board of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, on the board of the Saint Louis Art Museum, helping to found the KIPP charter school network and working with The Opportunity Trust, which seeks to improve the St. Louis public education system.
“I thank Keith for his 13 years as general counsel, and look forward to his new role with the foundation to help further our commitment to the communities we serve,” said Centene chairman, president and CEO Michael F. Neidorff.
Centene also announced the appointment of former Missouri attorney general, Chris Koster, to senior vice president, secretary and general counsel, effective Feb. 19. Koster will oversee all legal functions for the company, reporting directly to Neidorff.
Koster joined Centene in 2017 as senior vice president, corporate services. Before he was elected attorney general, he served in the Missouri Senate for four years, and was prosecuting attorney in Cass County for 10 years.
