Bernie Sanders held a “Get Out the Vote” rally at the Stifel Theatre in St. Louis on Monday afternoon.
Speakers at the rally included former mayoral candidates Tishaura Jones, Megan-Ellyia Green, and Cori Bush, who is running for congress. Jones serves as St. Louis treasurer, and recently announced that she was running for the same position. Green serves as St. Louis alderwoman (Ward 15) and Democratic National Committee committeewoman, and announced her run for the Missouri State Senate.
All three were named among Missouri campaign co-chairs on Sunday, in a news release. Bernie 2020 named a slate of over 38 state co-chairs across all March 10 voting states, all known for being “progressive.”
“Our momentum continues to grow across the country,” said Bernie 2020 national political director Analilia Mejia. “This slate of co-chairs will lead campaign efforts in each of their states and build on Sen. Sanders’ vision for a multi-racial, multi-generational, working-class movement to transform our country and defeat Donald Trump.”
Bernie 2020 is organizing across the state with the thousands of dedicated grassroots volunteers, three new television ads, and offices in Columbia, Kansas City, Springfield and St. Louis.
