Metro Transit makes it easy for everyone to enjoy all the fun and festivities of the Mardi Gras parade and celebration in Soulard.

Metro is operating a special Mardi Gras shuttle bus service from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, between the Civic Center Transit Center in downtown St. Louis and the Soulard Mardi Gras. Round-trip passes for the Mardi Gras shuttles are $5.

The shuttles will depart about every 10 minutes from the Civic Center Transit Center, located just south of the Enterprise Center at 14th and Spruce streets, and will drop off and pick up passengers in the heart of the Mardi Gras celebration on 10th Street at Marion Street in Soulard.

The $5 round-trip shuttle passes can only be purchased on Feb. 22, at the Civic Center Transit Center. No other Metro passes or fares are valid for the Mardi Gras shuttle. The shuttle pass is not valid for use on MetroLink, MetroBus or Metro Call-A-Ride.

Festival-goers can park their vehicles at any of the 21 free Park-Ride lots at MetroLink Stations in Missouri and Illinois, and ride MetroLink to the Civic Center MetroLink Station to catch the Mardi Gras shuttle buses to Soulard.

MetroLink trains will operate every 20 minutes on the Red Line and Blue Line on Feb. 22, with trains arriving and departing every 10 minutes at the Civic Center MetroLink Station and at all MetroLink stations between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Fairview Heights stations.

MetroBus is another great option to get to the parade and all of the Soulard Mardi Gras festivities on Feb. 22 without worrying about traffic, parking or walking long distances, with the #30 Arsenal and #73 Carondelet MetroBus routes serving stops near Soulard. The #30 Arsenal will be operating on a re-route on Feb. 22 due to the Bud Light Grand Parade.

Metro will have extra security and personnel available throughout the system to assist passengers. Alcohol is not permitted on Metro Transit vehicles or on Metro Transit property. Backpacks and coolers will not be allowed at the Soulard Mardi Gras.
