Nelly’s ‘Country Grammar’ to Be Released as 20th Anniversary Digital Deluxe Edition

To celebrate 20 years since its release, music superstar and St. Louis native Nelly will rerelease his stone-classic debut album Country Grammar” on July 24, via Republic/UMe.

With this blockbuster album, Nelly’s breezy, twangy approach put the Midwest on the rap-game map and catapulted St. Louis into the music spotlight, along with his group “The St. Lunatics.”

“Country Grammer” debuted at No. 3 on the Top 200 and soon vaulted to No. 1. It went on to sell more than 9 million copies, making it the ninth best-selling rap album of all time in the U.S., with more than 10 million copies sold. This placed Nelly in a special group of music superstars that include Led Zeppelin, the Doors and Bruce Springsteen.

The 20th anniversary edition of this landmark album will be released as a digital deluxe edition with bonus tracks “Icey,” “Come Over,” “Country Grammar (instrumental),” and “Ride Wit Me (instrumental),” all four of which have never been released digitally.
