Mike Bloomberg 2020 Comment on Trump’s Kansas Snafu Has a Little Snafu

0

Today, Mike Bloomberg 2020 announced the opening of two Kansas City, Missouri field offices. The news comes just after President Donald Trump’s social media snafu on Sunday night while attempting to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs.

With the opening of the field offices at 6435 N. Cosby Ave. and 427 Westport Road, the Bloomberg campaign now has five offices across the state, including the city of St. Louis, Clayton and Bridgeton.

“Mike Bloomberg is focused on defeating Donald Trump and offering solutions that bring opportunity to the people and places often overlooked,” said Grant Campbell, Mike Bloomberg 2020 Missouri state director. “It’s not shocking that so many Missourians feel shortchanged by Trump and his policies – he doesn’t even know where the state’s largest city is located.”

(EDITORIAL NOTE: What we think Campbell actually meant is that Trump doesn’t know which Kansas City the Super Bowl champions are located in. There are two Kansas Cities connected by a state border. Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri)

The campaign added a little history lesson to the news release: “Kansas City, known for its barbecue, jazz and the National Football League champion Kansas City Chiefs, has an estimated population of 491,918.”

Missouri voters head to the polls on March 10, for the presidential preference primary.
