New Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital to be ‘Hospital of the Future’

0

BJC HealthCare will soon open a new facility in West St. Louis County at Olive Boulevard and Mason Road. The new Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is located behind the existing hospital and has 64 private rooms designed for the comfort of patients, and includes accommodations for family members.

The new hospital replaces the existing 50-year-old facility. Designed as the “hospital of the future,” with maximum flexibility, efficiency and technological advancements, it will allow clinicians to spend more time caring for patients.

The existing hospital will be razed and replaced by green space and additional parking. The campus will retain its park-like setting that will include new groves of trees and extensive landscaping. In 2020, a new health and wellness trail will be added to the campus for staff, patients and the community to enjoy.
