St. Louis County Executive Sam Page held a news conference on Friday morning, March 13, to announce an executive order prohibiting gatherings of more than 250 people.

“We must do what we can to slow the spread of this virus,” Page said. “The county’s role in this crisis is to prepare, educate and respond. That’s what we’ve done, and the announcements I’m making today are a continuation of those efforts.”

St. Louis County does not currently have evidence of community spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and has one confirmed travel-related case. That resident is currently in isolation in her home.
