Donate Canned Food for Free Schlafly Beer

Schlafly Beer has once again partnered with St. Louis Area Food Bank for the “Cans for Cans,” holiday season initiative.

Through Saturday, Dec. 7, St. Louisans can donate two nonperishable canned goods to the Schlafly Tap Room (2100 Locust Street) or Maplewood’s Schlafly Bottleworks location (7260 Southwest Avenue) and receive one can of Schlafly’s 16-ounce White Lager or IPA.

All donated canned goods will benefit the St. Louis Area Food Bank, the bi-state region’s largest nonprofit food distribution center for those in need. Last year, Schlafly Beer donated 4,705 pounds of food, which provided over 3,841 meals to those in need.

The St. Louis Area Food Bank distributes over 43 million pounds of food and personal care items annually. More than 392,000 people in the bi-state region rely on the organization for assistance each year.

One can of Schlafly Beer is redeemable for every two nonperishable canned food items donated. Guests can donate up to 12 canned food items to redeem up to six cans of beer per visit. Must show proof of 21 ID with donation.
