Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis executive director, Lisa Weingarth, announced this morning that she will be leaving the organization to join the leadership team at Rung for Women in March.

Picker Joined WFSTL in 2018. Under her leadership in just the last two years, the annual Making a Difference event has grown from 450 people to a sold-out crowd of 750. Last year, the organization also completed a strategic planning process that allows WFSTL to reach more women and their families than ever before.

“Lisa’s leadership, along with the dedication and hard work of our staff and many volunteers, has led to increased visibility and impact,” said WFSTL board president Eulonda Nevels. “During her tenure, WFSTL tripled participation in our signature workplace change initiative — the Women in the Workplace: Employment Scorecard — and worked directly with local employers to adopt policies that are now improving the lives of thousands of women.”

“I am thrilled to have the chance to work with Ali Hogan, Leslie Gill and the team to help get things off the ground (at Rung for Women),” Weingarth said. “I feel so fortunate that I have the chance to continue my heart’s work for women and be a part of this world-class program right here in St. Louis.”

The board will remain involved in WFSTL’s daily operations during the transition. WFSTL will begin an executive search immediately.
